Web1 jun. 2009 · We observed the male Eastern Towhee carrying food near the Wood Thrush nest during the first nest observation period for this nest on 14 June 2006, when the young were 8 days of age. The towhee did not approach the nest while the female was brooding, but remained on a branch 10–15 cm distant. Webfeature. The male has black head, throat, wing, back and tail feathers, white belly feathers, white corners on the tail and red eyes.
